Setting Up Passkeys

How to use passkeys for faster, more secure account verification.

Passkeys provide a fast and secure way to verify your identity using biometrics (fingerprint, face recognition) or your device's screen lock (PIN/Passcode).

What Are Passkeys?

Passkeys are a modern security feature that replaces the old credit card verification method. Instead of remembering card numbers, you simply use your device's built-in biometric reader or device passcode for a quick verification.

What if my device doesn't have Face ID or Touch ID?

You do NOT need hardware biometrics or a physical security key. Modern devices (iPhones, Macs, Windows laptops) will allow you to use your Device Passcode / PIN. If your browser asks for a "Security Key", it is simply a general term — you can usually choose "Other options" and enter your device PIN. If your device is part of an iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager, your passkey can even sync across your devices automatically.

How to Set Up a Passkey

  1. After setting your password and logging in, you'll be guided through passkey onboarding before accessing your courses.
  2. Click "Set Up Passkey" when prompted.
  3. Your browser will ask you to confirm with your fingerprint, face, or device passcode/PIN.
  4. That's it! Your passkey is now registered.

Managing Passkeys

You can manage your passkeys from the "My Account" page in the Passkey Manager section. Here you can:

  • View your registered passkeys and rename them for easy identification.
  • Register additional passkeys for other devices.
  • Remove passkeys you no longer use.

When Will I Use My Passkey?

You'll be asked to verify with your passkey when our security system detects activity that needs confirmation — such as logging in from a new device or location. This protects your account from unauthorized access.
