Watching Video Lectures
Tips for getting the most out of video lectures.
Each chapter contains video lectures that are the core of your learning experience. Here's how to use them effectively:
- Use the sidebar — Click the sidebar toggle arrow on the left side of the screen to open the course navigation panel. From here you can see all modules, chapters, and videos. The sidebar remembers which module you were last viewing and re-opens to the right place automatically.
- Track your progress — Videos show a progress indicator as you watch them. Completed videos display a green checkmark in the sidebar.
- Pause and resume — Your progress is saved automatically, so you can come back anytime and pick up where you left off.
- Playback controls — Use the video player controls to adjust playback speed, enable fullscreen, or navigate within the video.
- Keyboard shortcuts — While a video is active, use arrow keys for quick control: Left/Right arrows seek ±5 seconds; Up/Down arrows adjust volume ±10%.
Study Tips
- Prioritize the videos — Use the course book to reinforce, but don't rely only on the book. The videos highlight clinically high-yield content you'll miss by just reading.
- Watch all videos at least twice — Repetition is key to retention.
- Calculations shortcut — If you're already confident with calculations, you may skip the calculation videos and go straight to the corresponding Question Bank. Just be sure to complete all the Calculations chapters' Question Banks.
